A menu bar app for Mac

Your screens, where they actually are.

Plug in your iPad and it lands on the wrong side. Again. Fixing it means System Settings, Displays, Arrange, every single time. Lineup fixes it from the menu bar, and then keeps it fixed.

One-time purchase · macOS 14 Sonoma or later · Apple silicon and Intel

The real app

Watch Lineup do its thing.

Seventeen seconds, start to finish: from the menu bar to every screen in its place. This is Lineup's own interface, drawn frame by frame from the app.

Right there in the menu bar

Click Lineup's icon at the top of your screen. No Settings app, no hunting.

Drag the iPad over

Grab a screen and drop it where it really sits. It snaps edge to edge.

Apply

One click and your real screens move. Lineup remembers it from now on.

Profiles in two clicks

Hover a profile to preview it on the live map. Click to switch.

Back in place, by itself

Reconnect the iPad and it goes straight back to its spot, with a quick note.

Why not just use System Settings?

Seven clicks. Every single time.

macOS can arrange screens, but it hides it three menus deep and forgets the moment the iPad reconnects. Here's the same job, side by side.

7→2

Clicks to fix it

Apple menu, System Settings, Displays, Arrange, drag, Done, close. Or: menu bar, profile.

3→1

Menus deep

Lineup lives in the menu bar, one click from every app, even full-screen ones.

∞→0

Times you redo it

Settings makes you fix it after every reconnect. Lineup remembers and does it for you.

The problem

macOS puts the iPad wherever it likes.

Usually on the side your hand isn't. So your mouse falls off the wrong edge of the screen, all day.

The fix

Drag it once.

Move the screen to where it actually sits on your desk. It snaps into place, the way your desk does.

The magic

Lineup remembers.

Unplug it, walk away, come back. The moment it reconnects, it goes right back where you put it.

The bonus

A profile for every desk.

Home, office, standing desk. Save each one as a profile and switch from the menu bar in two clicks.

Profiles

A profile for every desk.

Save a Home profile, an Office profile, a Travel one. Lineup recognizes each desk by its screens, so plugging into the office monitor brings back your office setup on its own.

Your turn

Go on, drag the iPad.

This works just like the Arrange window. Screens snap together edge to edge. Or pick a profile and watch everything move.

Done. Lineup remembers this for next time.

What's inside

Small app. Everything it should do.

BACK ON THE RIGHT

It remembers every setup

Lineup keeps the arrangement for each combination of screens. Reconnect, and everything goes straight back.

Profiles in one click

Home, office, couch, standing desk. Each gets its own profile, switched from the menu bar.

iPad as a screen

Sidecar on and off with one switch, no Control Center digging.

Hover to preview

Point at a profile and the live map shows you exactly where things will go.

Private by design

No account, no analytics, no tracking. Your presets never leave your Mac.

Questions

Good to know.

What do I need?

A Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple silicon or Intel. The iPad switch needs an iPad that supports Sidecar, signed in to the same Apple Account.

Can I have different setups for home and the office?

Yes. Save a profile for each desk. Lineup also recognizes each desk by its screens and restores that desk’s arrangement automatically when you plug in.

Does it change my screen settings?

Only where your screens sit next to each other, exactly like System Settings › Displays › Arrange. Resolution, colors and everything else stay untouched.

Why isn't it on the Mac App Store?

The one-click iPad switch uses a part of macOS the App Store doesn't allow. Lineup is signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens like any other app.

Does it collect any data?

No. Lineup has no accounts, no analytics and no tracking. Your presets stay on your Mac.

How do I get it after buying?

Right after checkout you land on a download page. Bookmark it: that link keeps working if you need the app again. Stripe emails your receipt too.

What if it's not for me?

Email brandon@logosdigitalstudio.com within 30 days and you'll get a full refund.
