A menu bar app for Mac

Your screens, where they actually are.

Plug in your iPad and it lands on the wrong side. Again. Lineup lets you drag your screens into place from the menu bar, save the setups you use, and puts everything back the moment a screen reconnects.

A MacBook, a monitor and an iPad lined up on a wooden desk

Try it right here

Drag the iPad to the right side.

This is the Arrange window, in your browser. Screens snap together edge to edge, just like the real ones. Or pick a preset and watch everything move.

Done. Lineup remembers this for next time.

What it does

Three things, done properly.

It remembers

Lineup keeps the arrangement for every combination of screens you use. When the iPad or monitor reconnects, everything goes straight back where you left it, with a quick note so you know.

Presets in one click

Laptop on the left at the office, under the monitor at home? Save each one. Hover a preset in the menu to preview it, click to switch.

iPad as a screen, instantly

Turn Sidecar on and off with a switch right in the menu. No digging through Control Center, and it lands on the correct side every time.

Questions

Good to know.

What do I need?

A Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple silicon or Intel. The iPad switch needs an iPad that supports Sidecar, signed in to the same Apple Account.

Does it change my screen settings?

Only where your screens sit next to each other, which is exactly what System Settings › Displays › Arrange does. Resolution, colors and everything else stay untouched.

Why isn't it on the Mac App Store?

The one-click iPad switch uses a part of macOS the App Store doesn't allow. Lineup is signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens like any other app.

Does it collect any data?

No. Lineup has no accounts, no analytics and no tracking. Your presets stay on your Mac.

How do I get it after buying?

Right after checkout you land on a download page. Bookmark it: that link keeps working if you need the app again. Stripe emails your receipt too.

What if it's not for me?
